Yes. The Registration Fee for one child is $150.00. The Registration Fee for a family (two or more children) is $225.00 total. Registration Fee(s) are due upon approval of your online enrollment application and will hold your child's spot.
A Supply Fee is paid for each student at the beginning of each school year in mid July through the payment info placed on file with our Office.
The Supply Fee covers all art, craft, and school supplies that your child will use throughout the school year. The Supply Fee also includes a testing fee for students in Kindergarten - 7th Grade.
The Supply Fees are as follows:
Preschool 3's and Pre-Kindergarten 4's: $100.00 per child, per school year
Kindergarten - 5th Grade: $200.00 per child, per school year
6th and 7th Grade: $225.00 per child, per school year
Joshua 1:9 Learning Center's first day of school for the 2024-2025 school year will be on Monday, August 5th, 2024. Please visit our Academic Calendar for all other questions about school holidays.
For the 2024-2025 school year, Joshua 1:9 Learning Center school hours will be from 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. **This may be subject to change**
Courageous Christian Academy will offer optional extended care outside of those hours for our Joshua 1:9 students for an additional cost. Please visit their website for more information.

Yes, uniforms are required for all students from Preschool all the way through 7th Grade.

All students must bring a healthy snack and packed lunch each day that does not require heating up. We provide optional breakfast to those who arrive before 7:30am.
We highly recommend that all children are completely potty-trained and can communicate simple needs. We are not equipped with diapering facilities at our school.
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes use the Frog Street Press for their curriculum.

Yes, we are accredited through Cognia, which is an internationally accredited program.
Our teachers pull from various curriculum's for each grade level. We follow TEKS as a guideline to ensure our students are meeting educational standards. This is a question that Mrs. Sheila or Ms. Jennifer will be happy to answer further during your tour or we can contact you to explain in more detail what is used in each classroom.
No, our students do not take the STAAR test. Our students in Kindergarten - 7th Grade take the TerraNova test in late April of each school year. The TerraNova test is structured like a PSAT test and we feel it is more developmentally appropriate for our students.
Our Kindergarten - 7th Graders have a rotation of P.E., Art, and Music weekly during Specials time for each grade level. All information about your child's Specials rotation will be provided by your child's teacher after school begins in August.
Afterschool clubs and Teams are available to our Kindergarten - 7th Grade students. Options include STEM/Robotics team, Martial Arts, Soccer, Cheer team, Art class, and classes for 3rd-7th Graders where they learn various instruments to make our Praise/Worship band.
Yes, for our Kindergarten - 7th Graders, we try to take many Field Trips throughout the school year and alternate them between being educational and ministry based.
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classes will have special events brought to our school from time to time.
As of right now, we will add a grade level per school year until 8th Grade and then we will re-evaulate what The Lord is calling us to do.
No. We follow and teach our students what is written in the Bible. We want to focus on our relationship with Christ and His word. We believe in daily Bible class as well as integrating it into all aspects of our education.
