Our Preschool Teachers are dedicated to teaching your child about social, emotional, and age-appropriate concepts for this age. Our Preschool Teachers have been teaching for over 10 years or longer and understand the cognitive abilities of a Preschooler to help them thrive in a classroom setting and beyond.
Our Preschool students participate in Circle Time each morning where they learn how to count to 30, the days of the week, months of the year, their shapes, and colors. Songs about colors, manners, and God are taught and sung during Circle Time.
Our Preschool students pray before every meal and snack and learn an age-appropriate weekly Bible story. Every Thursday morning, our Preschool students participate in our school-wide Praise and Worship. This is a time for our students and their families to come together for worship.
We use the Frog Street Press Curriculum in our Preschool classes. This curriculum is supplemented with hands-on activities and art projects that center around the topic for the week. A calendar is sent out at the beginning of each month showing the topics that will be taught each week.
Preschool students also need to develop social skills that are age-appropriate. Centers are created inside the classrooms where students can work together and learn how to interact with others. Centers such as the home center, cars and trucks, and independent hands-on work are seen inside our Preschool classes.
Our Preschool students will participate in outdoor recess twice a day. In case of inclement weather, students will participate in indoor recess.
We offer a morning snack and students are responsible for bringing their own lunch each day. A water bottle labeled with your child's name must be brought to school each day. If you have questions about meals, please send us a message through our Inquiry Form.
Our Preschool students have nap time each day from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, per our Early Childhood accreditation requirements. Students must bring a crib sheet, blanket, and small pillow (if desired) for use during naptime. If you have any questions about naptime, please send us an Inquiry Form.
We are working to provide this program for the 2026-2027 school year. If you have any questions about part time enrollment, please send us an Inquiry Form.
Your child must be 3 years old by September 1st, 2026 to join us for the 2026-2027 school year. We also highly recommend that your child is completely potty-trained and able to communicate simple needs. We do not have diapering facilities at our school. If you have any questions about admissions, please visit our Apply to Joshua 1:9 page.
