Extracurriculars & Clubs

Joshua 1:9 Learning Center has Extracurriculars and Clubs that are offered to our Preschool - 8th Graders. These are offered after school and on our Flex Fridays.

Participating in these clubs and activities give our students the ability to explore and try new things.

Some of these clubs and teams will be registered with U.I.L. so that our participants can compete against other schools in several categories.

Bible Club is for all of our students and it provides them with a space to grow deeper in their faith through Scripture study, discussion, prayer, and fellowship. Students are encouraged to strengthen their relationship with Christ while building meaningful, faith-centered friendships.

Spanish Club is available to Preschool through 8th grade and it introduces our students to the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures through interactive activities, conversation practice, and cultural exploration.

Students expand their global awareness while building communication skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Soccer Club is available for Preschool - 8th grade and our program encourages physical fitness, strategic thinking, and collaboration. Students compete with excellence while demonstrating respect, character, and sportsmanship rooted in Christian values.

Chess Club is available for Pre-Kindergarten - 8th grade

An instructor is brought in weekly to our campus and our students are taught the basic skills and knowledge of the game to increase their playing skills over time. Chess Club strengthens critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills. Students enjoy friendly competition while developing patience, focus, and analytical reasoning.

Students also compete in local tournaments.

Music lessons offer students the opportunity to develop their musical talents through instrumental and/or vocal instruction. Students build skill, creativity, and appreciation for the arts.

Our dance program promotes physical fitness, coordination, and artistic expression in a structured and encouraging environment. Students gain confidence while learning discipline and performance skills.

The STEM Club inspires curiosity and innovation through hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students explore real-world problem solving while developing creativity and collaboration skills.

Our Leadership Training program equips students with communication skills, confidence, integrity, and servant-leadership principles. Participants learn how to lead with wisdom, responsibility, and a Christ-centered mindset.

The A/V & Digital Marketing Club gives students hands-on experience in media production, photography, video editing, and digital communication. Students develop technical skills while learning to create positive, impactful content that reflects excellence and creativity.
